Our Families Say

A mother and a newborn baby
"Charlotte filled me with the confidence I needed and educated me further on my diagnosis allowing me to advocate for myself, which resulted in me having the most positive and empowering natural water birth in a birth centre despite being told “this wouldn’t be allowed”. I will be forever grateful for her help throughout my final weeks and post pregnancy and can’t recommend her enough!"

ready to chat?

If you are ready to start working together, or you want to learn more, make the first move by getting in touch.

  • How do I book?
Use the form on this website, email me or message me on social media!
  • Can I chat to you before booking?
If you are booking my Doula in your pocket service we can arrange a free 15 minute chat to make sure it is right for you! Just get in touch to arrange it!
  • What areas do you cover?
As I work virtually I can support you wherever you are in the UK! I have supported families internationally but I may not be as up to date with local regulations, guideline and procedures. There could also be difficulties with any time differences!
  • Once I have booked, how do we keep in touch?
I use WhatsApp to message you, we can do voice and video chats through that as well! I just need your mobile number!
  • Can my birth partner be involved?
Yes, in fact I encourage it! They are welcome to join any phone calls and in my Doula in your pocket package we can set up a chat with them in it if you want!
  • Are you a birth partner for hire?
In essence yes, I am a virtual birth partner for hire! A Doula's intention is never to replace a birth partner if you have one, but if you don't hiring a doula is a great idea!
  • Are Doulas the same as private or independent midwives?
No a doula cannot provide clinical care like a midwife, a doula can provide emotional and physical support and advocacy but not things like checking your blood pressure, ordering tests or scans or vaginal examinations.
  • Do doulas support homebirth?
Yes, I support all types of birth. I can support a homebirth virtually through helping you prepare mentally, and physically (wondering what you will need)?. I can be available for you and your partner virtually during your homebirth and support you though your post partum.
  • Do Doulas support induction?
Yes if you have made an informed decision to accept an induction I would be more than happy to help you achieve an empowered birth. If you are unsure about the reasons behind your induction or want to explore alternatives I can help you do that aswell.
  • Do Doulas support hospital birth?
Not all doulas support women birthing in hospital, however this is an area I feel passionate about providing support. I can help you navigate policies and guidelines to ensure you receive personalised care and I can help you and your partner prepare to advocate for your wishes.
  • Do Doulas support Freebirth?
This is a personal decision for each doula. I am happy to support freebirths if you have chosen to take that radical responsibility as a family.
